Abohar is the municipal committee in Fazilka district Punja. It is proximal to the border of India and Pakistan. The population of Abohar is 145,300 people. Abohar lies in the north- eastern side of Sri Ganganagar and in the south- eastern side of Fazilka. The city is also known as ‘California of Punjab’.
Native language of the place is Punjabi. Abohar is blessed with extremely fertile soil, abundant water, and natural landscape. It is the largest producer of cotton in the Northern part of India. Abohar is famous for growing Kinnow, which is a hybrid citrus fruit.
